Our Team

Mr. Banes contributes over a dozen years of international finance experience to assist clients in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). He helps clients gain control of where their business is headed by transforming raw accounting data into insightful financial forecasts and reports. Mr. Banes discovers trends, patterns and opportunities while detecting risks, weaknesses and challenges. He has lived in Bangkok, Thailand, and Cairo, Egypt.

Prior to joining Anapolsky Advisors, Mr. Banes worked with worked with Jeff Anapolsky at Community Dental Partners, a consolidator of over 60 general dental, orthodontics, and oral surgery clinics. As VP Finance, he was responsible for FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. By building dashboards and KPIs, Mr. Banes supported multiple departments in implementing solutions to drive cost savings, optimizing financial resources, and supporting business initiatives. He developed and executed strategic financial plans that aligned with the company's strategic objectives, resulting in increased profitability, earnings, and cash flow.

Mr. Banes began his career as a Consultant at Ernst & Young. Subsequently, his experience included investment banking at Lancaster Pollard and financial advisory at Group Lease PCL. He completed Series 52 and 79 certifications with FINRA.

Mr. Banes received an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Previously, he graduated with a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland. Mr. Banes also studied both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Arabic in an intensive language program at the International Language Institute for Arabic in Cairo, Egypt.
