Mr. Anapolsky has 20 years of organizational leadership experience in finance, law and operations. He applies the valuable insights and creative solutions that he learned as an advisor (Bear Stearns, Wasserstein Perella), lender (T. Rowe Price), investor (American Capital), and lawyer (Akin Gump) to help private companies reach their highest potential. 

His background with over 40 out-of-court workouts and Ch. 11 reorganizations includes recently serving as Chief Restructuring Officer for Humble Surgical Hospital, Interim CEO for VitalPet, and Expert Witness for Gautier Steel, Tandy Brands, and Bailey Tool & Manufacturing.

As a result of his diverse background, Mr. Anapolsky has developed a robust network of relevant contacts among bankruptcy attorneys, restructuring advisors, turnaround consultants, distressed investors, private equity sponsors, academics, and other insolvency professionals.

 

His publications include The Art of Distressed M&A:

Buying, Selling and Financing Troubled and Insolvent

Companies (McGraw-Hill 2011) and "Pitfalls in Brazilian

Bankruptcy Law for International Bond Investors"

(Journal of Business and Technology, University of

Maryland 2013). 

 

His teaching experience includes “Corporate Financial Restructuring” and "Advanced Financial Restructuring" at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business and “Bankruptcy Law” at the University of Houston Law Center.

Before graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School and JD from Harvard Law School, he earned a BS in Finance, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School of Business and BA in Mathematics, magna cum laude, from the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, HBS Club of Houston, Wharton Club of Houston, Phi Beta Kappa, and the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Texas.
