Our Team

Mr. Van Riet has over 20 years of senior financial leadership experience as a “culture builder” who has successfully led multiple organizations through change. He recently served as CFO for two NYSE-listed E&P companies, SilverBow Resources and Sanchez Energy. At these two companies, he collectively oversaw $3.6 billion of capital expenditures (D&C and A&D) and evaluated over 350 A&D transactions. As an investment banker at Credit Suisse and DLJ, he completed over 100 transactions spanning M&A, debt, equity and restructuring across 14 countries. He transitioned to leveraged finance and served large private equity clients such as Blackstone, Bain Capital, and Apollo.

A native Houstonian, Mr. Van Riet graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School with Distinction and earned a BS in Finance, magna cum laude, from Wharton. He is a member of the IPAA. He regularly volunteers for several cancer charities and serves on the board of directors for CanCare, Inc. (www.cancare.org).
